Do you love where you live? Dover Greeters organise local people who love where they live to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors through free local tours.
Greeters are people who love the history and culture of their town, and whilst not being in any way official tour guides, are happy to show off the wonderful and unique town that is Dover – including some hidden gems – and crucially enjoy telling the stories of the town’s long and incredible history.
To be a Greeter, you need to like meeting people and like finding out as much as possible about the town. Tours last about 1 to 3 hours – depending on what the visitors want – and training is provided for new greeters.
The best way to find out about being a Greeter is to come on a tour! Call 07850 698433 for more info.
