We are recruiting Volunteer Mentors to our Helping Hand Project – Interested?

The Helping Hand Project aims to help out-of-work people in East Folkestone to overcome their debt problems. Volunteer Mentors don’t need to be a financial expert — the project has a Citizens Advice Money Advisor for that.

Your role as a Volunteer Mentor would be to help the client organise and prepare for debt plan meetings and support them as they strive to follow the plan to its successful completion and a better future, including: freedom from debt, moving into job search, work or full-time study — and improved well-being.

Funded by Folkestone Community Works and the European Union Structural Fund, The Helping Hand Project is a new (Dec 2018) partnership project involving Rotary International, Kent Coast Volunteering and Citizens Advice.
